Middle School Raises Money for Ukraine
Our friend from the Ukraine, Ana Sazonov, returned to Heathwood Hall this past Tuesday, so the Middle School could present her and her organization, the Ukrainian Patriot, with a check for $500. Back on April 21, the MS hosted a dress-down day to benefit students in the Ukraine. The spirit for helping kids on the other side of the world was electric, as students not only donated but also wore Ukrainian blue and yellow.
I believe that our MS students have been inspired by Ana to be upstanders, not bystanders. As Ana told us all, “Now you have a friend from the Ukraine. When you think of what’s going on in the Ukraine, you can think of me, your friend, and my family.”
We are excited to partner with Ana, her humanitarian organization, the Ukrainian Patriot, and to foster a true friendship with a school very close to the battlefront as well.
