Afternoon Express (AE) serves students in the Early Childhood and Lower School divisions. AE teachers provide after-school snacks, support homework, and engage students in meaningful games and activities that complement the curricular goals of the school day.Afternoon Express (until 6:00 PM)
Afternoon Express begins at the conclusion of the academic day and is open until 6:00 PM. It provides a time for children to relax, play, and receive general support with homework. Each day, we provide a snack for students, as well as outdoor recess and time to enjoy nature.
Plans and Rates
Students may enroll in Afternoon Express on a drop-in basis or on regular weekly schedule. Fees are billed monthly based on participation in the program. You can register here. The Afternoon Express offers three plans:
Year-Round Care 2025-26
We are excited to announce that the Year-Round Plan will now be called Academic Year Plus. This plan covers care throughout the entire academic year, including noon dismissals, Parent Conferences, and Faculty In-Service Days. The new price is $3,465.00, which includes the $50 registration fee.
The Academic Year Plus program includes the following benefits for Afternoon Express (AE) and The Thought Studio (TS):
- AE/TS: Regular school days (3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.)
- AE/TS: Noon Dismissal Days (12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.), except for days designated for Extended Learning Staff Training
- AE/TS: Parent Conference and Faculty In-Service Days (7:45 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.)
