Stan and Ann Juk Honored with 2022 Averyt Award

For significant and longtime support of Heathwood Hall, Stan and Ann Juk are the 2022 recipients of the Averyt Award.

Named in honor of Gayle and Peg Averyt, former Heathwood parents, grandparents, volunteer leaders, and friends whose exceptional generosity and leadership in giving has been instrumental in the School’s growth and commitment to excellence, the Averyt Award is given to recognize a member of the Heathwood Hall community whose philanthropic support has had a significant impact on Heathwood Hall.

The Juks have been members of the Heathwood community since the 1970s. Their son Steven ’89 and daughter Katherine Juk Draffin ’94 are Heathwood graduates, as is their grandson Walker Draffin ’22. Their granddaughters Ellie ’23 and Ann Nelson ’28 are current Heathwood students. Throughout their almost 50 years as Heathwood parents and grandparents, the Juks have made giving to Heathwood a philanthropic priority, continually seeking opportunities to make a difference at Heathwood. From their leadership support of athleticsand the Heathwood Auction in the 1980s to their commitment to the Robinson Center in the ‘90s to their flagship support of the Heathwood History Project this year, they have had a significant impact on the School’s programs and facilities, enhancing the experience of generations of Highlanders.

“Stan and Ann’s level of support has been exceptional, consistent, and transformative for Heathwood Hall,” said Head of School Chris Hinchey. “Although we will never be able to say thank you enough for all that exists at Heathwood because of their support, I am honored to recognize their significant philanthropic contributions to the School.”
