31 US Students Inducted into National Honor Society
Thirty-one Heathwood juniors and seniors were inducted into the Les Savants chapter of the National Honor Society at a ceremony in the Chapel of the Epiphany on October 18.
Membership in the National Honor Society is earned not just through outstanding academic achievement but also through demonstrated leadership, service, and character.
The new members were welcomed into the NHS by faculty sponsors Dr. Elisha Sircy and Karen Eggebrecht, NHS officers Pete Peterson, Ellie Singerling, Henry Haywood, and William Morris, and by guest speaker Dr. Thomas Bryan, a 2007 Heathwood graduate who is a physician with Lexington Medical Center.
The 2021 NHS inductees include seniors Owen Bennett, Walker Draffin, Andrew Kriter, Derek Lewis, Mathew Morgan, Myles Roberts, Jimmy Ruskell, and Adelaide Wood, and juniors Virginia Bowers, Madison Clary, Gabriel Cooper, Sophia Conner, Celia Deese, Grayson Elliot, Jackson Engh, Emily Frick, Max Hagood, Webb Hodges, Robert Hodges, Madeline Hurst, Elizabeth Kitchens, Will Koon, Abigail Mullins, John Nagy, Myan Patel, Liam Quan, Abigail Suber, Ellie Tanner, Donald Tomlin, Cameron Truesdale, and Adair Wood.
