The Thought Studio
The Thought Studio is Heathwood’s after-school program for Middle School students. It provides a space for quiet studying as well as a place for safe fun and socialization. You can register here.
Location
The Thought Studio is held under the Nord Building from 3:30 to 5:30, Monday through Friday. A portion of the space will be dedicated to a quiet study hall while other areas will allow for socializing, games, and outdoor play. Students who are not picked up by 5:30 will join Afternoon Express in the Averyt Building where they should be picked up by 6:00 in the Lower School Circle.
Leadership
Two teachers from the AE team lead the study hall and encourage a respectful learning environment. Middle School teachers are encouraged to communicate with the AE team in order to support student learning and growth.
Cost
Beginning at 3:30, families will be charged $12 per hour for their child’s attendance.
