70 Years of Excellence: The 2022 State of the School Address
The value proposition of a Heathwood Hall education has become even stronger over the last few years, said Head of School Chris Hinchey in his 2022 State of the School Address, as Heathwood's small class sizes, ample outdoor space, strong student-teacher relationships, and unparalleled support for student health and wellness helped the School thrive despite all the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.
"The pandemic has validated the qualities of a Heathwood Hall education that we have held dear for 70 years," Mr. Hinchey said.
As a result, both enrollment and annual giving are up significantly, while the school continues to build on its long-time strengths in academics, the arts, and athletics, and to expand its extended programs and centers of excellence such as college counseling.
Above all, Heathwood's talented and dedicated faculty make a difference in the lives of students every day, and, said Mr. Hinchey, "Throughout the pandemic, our faculty have served our students well beyond anyone's lofty expectations of excellence."
