Heathwood Hall is proud to celebrate one of its own as Brionna Zimmerman, '05, has been named the SCISA 4A Region 1 Girls Basketball Coach of the Year. This prestigious award highlights Brionna’s exceptional leadership, dedication, and impact on the Varsity Girls Basketball program, marking a milestone in her coaching career.

Brionna’s journey at Heathwood has been one of continuous growth and service. After serving in several roles within the business office, she took the helm as The Athletic Director in the 2024/25 Academic Year.

Being named Coach of the Year is a testament to her hard work and commitment to her players, on and off the court. Brionna’s leadership goes beyond the game, as she empowers her athletes to strive for excellence and balance, preparing them for challenges both in sports and life. Her impact on the program and her athletes’ growth is undeniable, making this recognition a well-earned honor.

As Brionna continues to lead the Varsity Girls Basketball team, this award reflects her passion for coaching, her unwavering support for her athletes, and the positive influence she brings to Heathwood Hall.
